Great news – Californian indie slackers Grandaddy are set to reunite at this year’s End of the Road Festival in Dorset.
They will perform on the third (and last) day of the festival. End of the Road takes place between 31st August and 2nd September. Unfortunately though, it’ll probably be the band’s only UK festival performance this year.
The band announced their split in 2006 citing financial difficulties following a 14-year career, but are now one of the Dorset folk festival’s headliners and have also promised more (US?) shows in due course.
The news marks a great 18 months for ‘slacker rock’ in general with the fairly recent Pavement comeback and the new Guided by Voices album.
