New Discovery - Darkside

Darkside is the latest side-project from Nicholas Jaar.

Jaar is an American-Chilean musician currently based in Rhode Island, and calls his unique sound, “blue-wave”.

For those, like me, who’ve yet to really delve into his music, Jaar‘s debut album, Space Is Only Noise was released early last year to critical acclaim and received a score of 8.4 from Pitchfork, four stars from The Guardian and was heralded as album of the year by Mixmag (it seems I’m a bit late to this party!).

His latest Darkside track/video, A1 is a beautifully mellow and melancholic meeting of minimal techno and experimental electro. Check out the video below:
