Modest Mouse – any chance of a new album soon, please?

It’s taken me awhile to sort myself out and stumble across the following blog on Myspace, but found it I have and it’s got a couple of treats (click here). Two, new (vaguely – the blog dates back to May 31st) Modest Mouse tracks, debuted at the Sasquatch music festival on Sunday 29th May.
The tracks, Poison and Lampshades On Fire seem to hark back to the kind of stuff they were doing (at their peak?) around the time of, The Moon & Antartica. Fans who’ve heard them seem very happy anyway – and I have to agree with their grinning.
The production on the last two or three albums has been too slick for some – here’s hoping with these two excellent new ‘taster’ tunes (and the Big Boi news) that a new album is going to come very soon (from a slack, wonky, raggedy angle) and knock us off our feet.
