Listen to The Roots’ collaboration with Sufjan Stevens

Posted in Music with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on November 28, 2011 by dc

Earlier this month, Slacker Shack revealed that The Roots’ forthcoming concept album, undun follows the life of a man named Redford. The concept was inspired by the Sufjan Stevens song (and character) of the same name from his Greetings From Michigan album, released in January 2007.

The forthcoming Roots album ends with a four-part ‘Redford’ suite featuring some guest piano from Stevens, and the good news is that one of our favourite sites, Stereogum is now streaming three of those four parts. Head over to the Stereogum site here to check them out.

undun is released next week via Def Jam.
