A year ago this week, G-Funk / R&B hip-hop-hook supremo, Nate Dogg passed away.

If like me, the sound of Nate‘s butterscotch smooth tones still brings a lump to your throat as you nod along, you should head on over to the excellent Passion of the Weiss website here and grab yourself a copy of J.Period‘s tribute mixtape, The Best of Muthafuckin Nate Dogg.

It’s the G-Funk era funked out with a gangsta twist..

Here’s the newly released trailer for Tim Burton‘s forthcoming Dark Shadows:

The film is (surprise, surprise) a (comedy) gothic-horror tale centering on the life of vampire, Barnabas Collins and his run-ins with various monsters, witches, werewolves and ghosts in 1972 Maine, USA. Based on the cult US TV series (which ran on ABC from 1966 to 1971), Dark Shadows will hit cinemas on the 11th May.

Any one else getting deja vu?
