Beck’s covers David Bowie’s ‘Sound and Vision’ with over 160 other musicians live

beckbowieAmerican car company Lincoln have gone all hip by employing Beck for their new “Hello, Again” campaign.

Fortunately he’s not speaking to camera about gear shafts, smooth operating systems or fuel economy. Instead, he’s twatting about with the conventions of music in fine Beckonian form.

Not one to shy away from a cover, Beck has collaborated with director Chris Milk on a multi-media, interactive video of his performance of David Bowie‘s Sound and Vision.

This performance is backed by over 160 musicians, including the Dap-Kings, an orchestra, a gamelan ensemble, a marching band, a Peruvian charango group, a saw player, choirs, a plethora of guitarists, a harpist, and a Theramin player.
