New Beck UK tour dates announced

Last week Slacker Shack brought you a link to Beck‘s new single, Defriended, along with news that the great man has a couple of albums in the pipeline and a handful of US dates planned this month too. We also told you about his forthcoming gig at the Barbican Hall in London on 4th July.

Well, for those of you who haven’t managed to pick up tickets for that now ‘sold out’ gig, today Beck has announced two more UK gigs set to take place next month.

The first gig takes place at the Corn Exchange in Cambridge on Saturday 6th July – and the second at the beautiful Union Chapel in Islington, London on Sunday 7th July (you can book tickets here – lines open at 9am this Wednesday).

The shows are billed as ‘acoustic’ but there’s no confirmation (as yet) whether they’ll be ‘Song Reader‘ gigs like the Barbican Hall one – or whether they’ll feature highlights from the acoustic album he’s planning on releasing this Autumn.

I’m pretty sure they’ll be cracking gigs either way.
