Courtney Barnett – Pedestrian At Best – new video

Aussie singer-songwriter, Courtney Barnett has announced plans to release her debut full-length LP entitled Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit.

The first tune to see the light of day is, Pedestrian At Best, and it comes with a new video – check it out below:

Jeff ‘The Dude’ Bridges releases new spoken word album designed to help you drift off

Everyone’s favourite ‘dude’, Jeff Bridges has released a ‘pay what you like’ spoken word album to help raise funds for the No Kid Hungry charity.

Sleeping Tapes is a collection of musings, field recordings, ambient soundscapes and gentle instrumentation with the aim of relaxing and helping the listener drift off into a sweet land of dreams and wonderment.

The 15-track album is the result of Bridges working with True Detective composer Keefus Ciancia and sound engineer Doug Sax – check out a snippet below and download the album here.

Fresh from releasing the video to Nasty, The Prodigy have today revealed the title track from their forthcoming album, The Day Is My Enemy.

The track’s an absolute stonker. It’s like an updated take on something from their Music For The Jilted Generation LP but much, much bigger – it’s a real warehouse quaker. Check it out below:

Before playing their latest single, Make You Better, on a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Portland folksters, The Decemberists came up with the ingenious idea of setting some chosen YouTube comments to music. Themes included, ‘Kim Kardashian’s Plastic Surgery Transformation‘, ‘President Obama’s State Of The Union address‘, and ‘noisy kittens waiting for dinner‘. Check out the clip below:
