The Peanut Butter Falcon – new trailer

I’m not particularly enamoured with Shia LaBeouf. I’ve heard too many ludicrous stories about him to have taken anything he’s done thus far seriously. Maybe I’ve been harsh. I’m always happy to be proven wrong.

In fact, the trailer for Shia‘s latest cinematic effort has already partially changed my previous musings (I’m fickle). The Peanut Butter Falcon is the latest movie from the producers of Little Miss Sunshine, and right from the off the trailer is packed with the kind of quirky charm that film had in abundance.

The story is billed as taking place in a modern Mark Twain-esque world and the plot follows, Zak, a young man with Down syndrome who runs away from home to chase his dream of becoming a professional wrestler. Tyler (LaBeouf), a small time criminal on the run becomes Zak‘s unlikely coach and ally and many adventures ensue.

Check out the trailer below, it’s probably got the kind of vaguely wacky feel some may hate, but it looks charming to me:
