Next issue of Wetherspoon News

Many of you, like me, will of received a weird pro-Brexit Wetherspoons magazine in the post this week. The fact we’re living in a country that’d seemingly rather listen to the ramblings of an obscenely wealthy member of the priviledged British elite, rather than economic experts, scientists and industry experts is a topic for a million far more erudite and worthy blogs, but its certainly a very odd little magazine.

My favourite section of the first issue was an article explaining owner Tim Martin‘s decision to scrap all EU sourced beer and wine from his pubs in favour of lesser known alternatives and knock-offs from across the world. No more Jagerbombs, get ready instead for the Strikabomb! It’s a laughable attempt to spin his ill informed anti-EU agenda. Whether it’ll affect sales for better or worse is anyone’s guess in these weird times. Maybe Britain’s rising gammon population will just start drinking twice as much to help Martin out – but if that’s the case, let’s hope a post-Brexit NHS can help save all their livers eh?

Anyway, still chuckling at my flick through the astonishingly shit Wetherspoon News, I stumbled across another great bit of satirical art from Manchester artist, Wefail. Pitched as the next cover for the magazine, Wefail‘s new design is utterly brilliant and follows on from an awesome series of Brexiteer £ note prints he currently has for sale over on ebay. Check out the cover art below:

And buy a print here.

My pitch is very simple…
