Last December, months after the release of his debut album, singer-producer, Martijn William Zimri Teerlinck aka The Child Of Lov passed away aged just 26. Today, six months on a new video for Damon Albarn collaboration, One Day has appeared online. It’s rather unsettling and odd – check it below:

He may have released plenty of albums over the years, but Damon Albarn‘s still yet to release a true solo album. Next year however, that’s going to change. 2014 sees the release of a Richard Russell produced LP and yesterday Albarn uploaded a (very) short teaser – check it out below:

Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon and Noel Gallagher perform together onstage

Over the weekend, during a benefit concert for Teenage Cancer Trust, Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon and Noel Gallagher teamed up to perform a version of Blur‘s Tender together. Check out footage below:

The coming together of the once feuding Britpop luminaries didn’t go down too well with Noel‘s brother Liam though, who decided to take to Twitter to tweet the following:

LG

I presume the ‘war criminal’ comment refers to Noel’s invitation to Tony Blair‘s Number 10 party in 1997. And by BLUE, he clearly means Blur.

He’s not going to let it lie is he?

Not quite sure how this didn’t make the original cut for last year’s Bravest Man In The Universe album – but it’s just been released as part of the newly released ‘expanded edition’.

Check out the video for Bobby Womack‘s It’s Been A Long Night below:

Damon Albarn changes his mind

In the past few months Slacker Shack has posted a number of blogs about the potential of another Blur album. Firstly Graham Coxon stated there would defintely be another album then Damon Albarn made it clear to The Guardian that there wouldn’t. Amidst this confusion there were tales of the band jamming and rehearsing together and also a new tune, Under The Westway, which Coxon and Albarn performed back in February at a gig in London. Confusing stuff.

Now Albarn‘s gone onto clarify his statement, Telling the NME that he hasn’t ruled out continuing with the band. On the future of Blur, Albarn stated, “Some days I feel one way and other days I feel the other. If you don’t see something as a career but an important part of your life, you don’t know how you’re going to feel about it.” Before going on to add, “nothing’s been said between us about the beginning or the end,” and that performing live with Blur is “one of the best feelings I’ve ever had.”

Maybe his indecision has something to do with the fact he’s promoting his new opera album, Dr. Dee. Or is that just cynical?
