Great new music – Rodney Cromwell
London electronic artist Rodney Cromwell (the solo project of Adam Cresswell) is set to release his ‘Exercise Class‘ EP tomorrow via Happy Robots Records, and as a preview, Cromwell shared ‘Madeline Trip,’ a 55-second electronic piece inspired by Marcel Proust’s ‘In Search of Lost Time’ via YouTube. Clocking in at just 55 seconds, this track is a staple in Cromwell’s live performances, captivating audiences with its ethereal, hauntological charm.
Cresswell‘s musical journey thus far includes 90s indie folk band Saloon and the 2000s electronic duo Arthur & Martha (both favorites of the late John Peel), and as Rodney Cromwell, his debut album ‘Age of Anxiety‘ earned praise from NME, Huffington Post, and Bandcamp Daily, with radio play on BBC 6 Music and RTE.
The ‘Exercise Class’ EP blends retro-futurism with indie pop, and is a must for fans of Baxter Dury, Hot Chip, and Metronomy. Check out the video for ‘Madeline Trip‘ below:
